Our Story
Bazaar Nashville was born out of a simple frustration — local makers in Middle Tennessee deserved better. Better than sky-high Etsy fees. Better than the chaos of Facebook Marketplace. Better than algorithms that bury small creators under mass-produced competition.
Why I built Bazaar Nashville
I'm a maker, a mom of three, and proud to call Nashville home — and I built Bazaar Nashville because I needed it myself.
Like a lot of local crafters, I tried Etsy. I listed my work, paid the fees, and watched everything I made disappear into a sea of thousands of similar items. It wasn't that my work wasn't good enough — it was that the platform wasn't built for someone like me. Someone local. Someone who makes things with love, but doesn't have a marketing budget or hours to game an algorithm.
And craft fairs? I'd love to do them. But between three kids and weekend sports schedules, setting up a booth just isn't realistic right now. What I wanted was simple — a place where local Middle Tennessee makers could connect with local buyers. No insane fees eating into every sale. No competing with mass producers. Just a real community of real people who love handmade things and want to support each other.
That's Bazaar Nashville. Built by a maker, for makers — and for every buyer who wants to know the story behind what they bring home.
